SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS FOR ELECTRIC FIREPLACES
ATTENTION: These safety instructions and warnings contain fundamental information for the safe use of an electric fireplace insert. Failure to follow the recommendations and warnings below may result in fire, electric shock, personal injury, and property damage.
WARNING! There is a risk of fire, electric shock, and injury if you do not follow the provided instructions and safety information. We are not liable for damages or injuries resulting from improper handling, improper installation, or improper use of the electric fireplace insert.
WARNING! Before using your electric fireplace insert, compare the rated power of the insert with the capacity of the electrical circuit in which you intend to use it. For the electric fireplace insert to be safely used, the electrical demand of the insert, in addition to the demand of any other electrical devices using the circuit, should clearly remain within the electrical capacity of the circuit. If you are unsure about the electrical capacity of the circuit or the electrical demand of the devices using the circuit, consult a qualified electrician.
WARNING! Your electric fireplace insert may require a dedicated electrical circuit. Check with your local building codes.
WARNING! To avoid electric shock, do not open the rear panel of the insert unless the power is turned off and the insert is disconnected from the power source.
WARNING! The electric fireplace insert must only be operated with alternating current (AC), and the voltage specified on the heating unit must match the supply voltage.
WARNING! Any repairs or modifications to this electric fireplace insert are not recommended and can lead to an increased risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury. Any repairs or modifications will void any warranty and technical support for this device. If the user of the electric fireplace insert decides to repair or modify the insert or its electrical wiring, such repairs or modifications should only be performed by a qualified electrician and must comply with local building codes.
WARNING! Stop using this electric fireplace if any of the following occur:
– Water damage
– The insert is damaged or dented
– The power cord is broken
– The power cord became too hot to touch
– Plugging in causes smoke or a burning smell (Note: A slight odor may occur during initial use of the heating function. This is normal and should not recur unless the heater has not been used for an extended period.)
WARNING! Do not cover or obstruct the insert in any way. The insert may overheat if covered.
WARNING! Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
WARNING! Do not run cables under carpets or rugs. Do not let main cables hang over sharp edges of the electric fireplace insert. Ensure that main cables do not come into contact with hot surfaces. Check the cable periodically for damage. Never use the electric fireplace insert if the cable or any part of the insert shows signs of damage.
WARNING! Only turn on the electric fireplace insert after it has been properly installed according to the operating instructions. Do not leave the electric fireplace insert unattended while in use.
WARNING! Keep the electric fireplace insert out of the reach of children. Do not allow children to operate the electric fireplace insert.
The electric fireplace insert is equipped with a safety shut-off that activates if the insert overheats (e.g., due to blocked ventilation slots). For safety reasons, the insert will NOT reset automatically. To reset the electric fireplace insert, disconnect it from the power source for at least 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, reconnect the insert to the power supply and switch it on.
Keep these safety instructions and warnings for future reference.
